Youth Futures Summit
Join us on Sunday, March 12, 2023, for the first-ever Youth Futures Summit in the United States!

SUNDAY, MARCH 12 | 12PM-4PM
CALIFORNIA STATE CAPITOL, WEST LAWN
RAIN OR SHINE!
The Youth Futures Summit is a day of celebration and action centering young futurists.
It builds on California 100’s work to bring together passionate student leaders, campus activists, and youth community partners from regions across the state to design a youth futures manifesto for the next century.
The Futures Summit is FREE and open to all young Californians (and their allies and champions). Bring a friend and join us as we build a movement of long-term futurists!
The Youth Futures Summit invites young Californians to:
- Travel into the multiverse with AfroRithms from the Future
- Consider climate action and trade futures currency with larger-than-life Astrobotanical sculptures and Dadara’s Transformoney Tree
- Explore art installations and a mural inspired by our collective Youth Manifesto for the Future
- Participate in healing justice and reduce stress with the Blackfullness app
- Create your own 'zine with comic artist Golnoush Pak
- Connect with changemakers, dreamers & activists from across the state
- Plus: a mainstage lineup of musicians and spoken word performers, food trucks and free refreshments, live screen printing, freedom dreaming workshops and more...
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
The Youth Futures Summit will be held on the West Lawn of the California State Capitol at 1315 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.
Food trucks, music, art installations, visioning workshops and partner booths will run from 12-4pm. All registered participants will receive a food truck voucher for lunch and a California 100 swag bag.
ASL and Spanish-language interpretation services will be provided for the stage programs, and the stage and bathrooms are ADA accessible. For accommodation for effective communication (ASL interpreting/CART captioning, alternative media formats, etc.) or information about mobility access features in order to fully participate in this event, please contact us at youth@california100.org.
The Futures Summit is rain or shine! Many of the activities will take place under tents, and there are shaded tree clusters and areas to shelter throughout the lawn. Please come prepared for our beautiful, and variable, California weather — wear layers, bring sunscreen and plan for backup rain attire.
The West Lawn is accessible by public transportation and the closest parking garage is Capitol Garage between 10th and L streets. Parking is $5/day.
